Getting to Brandywine Falls

Park in the lot at the address listed above and take the boardwalk that leaves the northwest corner of the lot. Follow this boardwalk briefly then descend down a series of stairs to get to an overlook of the waterfall.

Nearby waterfalls:

Blue Hen Falls and Buttermilk Falls are located on the other side of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, about 5 miles from here. The dramatic Twin Sisters Falls and Crazy Man's Hollow Falls are just a bit farther north.

Easily the most popular waterfall in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, this outstanding cascade drops 65 feet down Brandywine Creek. Long ago this waterfall was the sight of the bustling Village of Brandywine, one of the most successful early settlements of the Cuyahoga Valley. Today the town ceases to exist, as the construction of the nearby interstate highway several decades ago wiped out the town. If you're looking for more than just a pit stop, the 1.5-mile Brandywine Gorge Trail is a great hike that explores the gorge downstream from the falls.
