Natural Ohio Adventures Bedford Reservation All-purpose Trail

All Purpose Trail

5 miles, Easy to Moderate

The trail begins at Egbert Picnic area and seldom leaves the side of the road. The trail will pass over Deerlick Creek about 1.5 miles in. Downstream from the bridge is a series of of medium sized waterfalls, The first is visible from the Buckeye Trail which is just on the other side of the street. The rest of the waterfalls can be viewed by leaving the trail and hiking off-trail downstream. I advise you wear hiking boots if you chose to do this because the ravine is narrow and incredibly slippery. Next you'll pass by the trailhead for Bridal Veil Falls. It's just a short 5 minute walk down the trail to the falls and it's definitely worth the trek. About another 1.5 miles farther you will approach the Tinkers Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook, a National Natural Landmark. This is the last big attraction on the trail, so if you're getting tired now may be a good time to head back. The trail continues down the road until it intersects with the Valley parkway and continues onto this road. The trail continues down to the Alexander road Trailhead and then on to the Bike and Hike road.
